“DESCRIPTION OF THE EARLY ABBASID PERIOD IN ARAB LITERARY PROSE” BOOK PUBLIS

“Description of the Abbasid period in Arab literary prose” book was published by ANAS Institute of Oriental Studies. 

Monograph by scientific secretary of the institute Sabina Salimova clarifies reflection of the global issues of first period of the Abbasid period, which was closely to Azerbaijan in literary, scientific-cultural and foreign spheres, in Arabian folklore and literary prose.

 

 Book consists of 4 chapters, summary, literature list and name index. First chapter briefly glances at social-political and cultural life of caliphate during the Abbasid. Other chapters describe caliphs of the early Abbasid in Arabian folklore. Arabian novels of XIX century describe early Abbasid. here, Salim Al-Busta’s creativity and “Budur” novel, including Jamil Al-Mudauvar’s creativity and “Hadaratu-l-islam fi der as-Salam” novel are involved for investigation. While, 4th chapter of the Arabian literary prose of XIX century, which described early Abbasid caliphs, narrates on Jirji Zeydan and his historical novels dealing with Abbasid, also presents images of palace poets. Meanwhile, role and collapse of Bermeki viziers in a palace life, description of caliphs’ haunting and other fun scenes were spoken as well.
