In his speech academician Isa Habibbeyli noted that the field of Arabic studies in Azerbaijani Oriental studies has developed significantly, emphasizing that the foundation of its literary direction was laid by the prominent orientalist scientist, Professor Aida Imanguliyeva, through her scientific works. He highlighted that Aida Imanguliyeva made invaluable contributions to the development of this field. Academician Isa Habibbeyli also mentioned that Professor Aida Imanguliyeva laid a foundation for Arabic studies in Azerbaijan and opened a new path in the study of immigrant literature. He said that Aida Imanguliyeva made substantial contributions to the study of Arabic emigrant literature in global science, enriching both Azerbaijani and world Oriental studies.
Academician Govhar Bakhshaliyeva said that Aida Imanguliyeva, who passed away 32 years ago on September 19, was a distinguished and remarkable personality, both in her public activities and personal qualities. She emphasized that Aida Imanguliyeva left an indelible mark on the development of Azerbaijani Oriental studies. She highlighted that Aida Imanguliyeva was the first scholar to study the interactions and influences between Arab and Western literatures, authoring three substantial monographs and over 100 scientific and popular scientific articles.
Govhar Bakhshaliyeva recalled Aida Imanguliyeva's tenure as the head of the Institute of Oriental Studies, where she demonstrated herself as a skilled organizer of science, and added that she was an outstanding scholar representing Azerbaijani science on a global level.
Govhar Bakhshaliyeva stated that Aida Imanguliyeva's loss is a great sorrow for our orientalists, and emphasized that scholars always hold her cherished memory in high regard.
Basharat Bashirova, a senior researcher at the Institute of Oriental Studies and Ph.D. in history, spoke about Aida Imanguliyeva's valuable scientific work, her care for young orientalists, and shared her memories of the distinguished scholar.
