On January 29, the head of the Culture Centre of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran inAzerbaijan, Ibrahim Ibrahimi visited theInstitute ofOriental Studies named after academician Ziya Bunyadov of ANAS and met with director of theInstitute ofOriental Studies, corresponding member of ANAS Govhar Bakhshaliyeva.

Deputy Director of Science of the Institute of Oriental Studies named after Academician Ziya Bunyadov, corresponding member of ANAS Shahin Mustafayev attended the conferences on “Cultural transformation stages in a Muslim society in the South Caucasus and Central Asia during the colonial period (at the end of the XIX century and early XX century)” and "Tradition and modernity in the cartoons of Azerbaijan satirical journal Molla Nasreddin” at Ecole Normale Superieure (ENS) in Paris.

Director of theInstitute ofOriental Studies underTbilisiStateUniversity, Academician Apollon Silagadze and Professor of the same university, Nino Ezhibadze visited theInstitute ofOriental Studies named after Academician Ziya Bunyadov ANAS on December 22.

On December 16, scientist from Cairo University, chief of Egyptian Ministry of Culture department of Publishing and editorial Abdurrahman Al-Hijazi visited Institute of Oriental Studies. Egyptian scientist was accompanied by chief of Egypt Culture Center to Azerbaijan Ahmad Sami Elaydi.
